"To educate, enlighten and inspire young adults
to use their ingenuity and to communicate and express their ideas, paving a path
to success for their future endeavors."
THE TURTLE SHELL TEEN MENTORSHIP PROGRAM was designed by professional arts educators to assess the educational and artistic needs of teens and integrate these needs into the creative process of producing a theatrical presentation. Through the program, teens are paired with a technical designer in fields such as lighting, stage design, costuming, sound, stage management and marketing. They are involved in artistic areas such as script analysis; they assist the director and work to integrate their ideas with the aesthetic vision of the total production. Upon completion of the program, a performance evaluation will be conducted for all participants.
